1st prize for Magela Flood Plain
1985 Kodachrome Golden Anniversary
1st prize for Thunderstorm
1987 National Print Award, Australian Institute of Photography Ilford Trophy for the highest scoring print Sunset Lightning. Gold, silver and bronze awards in the National Print Awards.
1987 Sydney International Exhibition of Photography Gold Award, in Nature Print category for Waterlilies, Howard Springs. With over 4,000 entries from all parts of the world competition is very fierce, with only a handful of awards being given. The SIEP is highly regarded both in Australia and overseas.
1988 Sydney International Exhibition of Photography Silver Award in the Colour Print category for Studebaker.
1988 Urban Council Biennial Awards – Hong Kong
Winner – Best English Language Book for The Top End of Down Under
1992 Fuji Award – Automotive Category for Toyota

Nov 1990 WEAPONS OF THE GODS
An Austrian-made television documentary on thunderstorms for world wide distribution. Peter Jarver was featured as a lightning photographer as well as being hired as a freelance consultant.
1986 QUEENSLAND RAIL
Commissioned to photograph Kuranda Scenic Train for their commercial photographic portfolio.
